These terms explain the rules for using vellumpoint books, online portals, activation codes, practice exams, and learner accounts.

Acceptance of Terms
- These Terms govern your access to and use of vellumpoint Exam Preparation websites, online portals, book-linked access codes, practice exams, explanations, and related services.
- By creating an account, activating a book, opening a portal, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- If you use the service for an organization, school, employer, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that entity.
Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You may not share, sell, transfer, or sublicense your account, access code, portal access, or exam history.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe your account or access code has been compromised.
Book Access and Activation Codes
- Some books include an edition access code that can activate a matching online portal for an authenticated user.
- Access codes may be limited by edition, redemption rules, time windows, or anti-abuse checks. Already activated access may not create another access record.
- Unless otherwise stated, portal access is personal to the activating account and may expire after the stated access period.
- We may reject, suspend, or revoke access if a code is invalid, expired, previously redeemed, obtained improperly, or used in violation of these Terms.
Educational Use
- vellumpoint materials are for exam preparation and educational use only.
- We do not guarantee that use of the books, portals, questions, rationales, or practice exams will result in a passing score, licensure, certification, employment, or any particular outcome.
- Practice questions and explanations are designed to support study. They are not legal, medical, pharmacy, financial, regulatory, or professional advice.
Permitted and Prohibited Use
- You may use the service for your own personal exam preparation or authorized institutional study program.
- You may not copy, scrape, publish, distribute, sell, upload, reproduce, translate, train models on, or create derivative works from vellumpoint questions, answer keys, rationales, book content, or portal content without written permission.
- You may not attempt to bypass authentication, access controls, row-level security, activation checks, attempt locks, answer-key protections, rate limits, or other security measures.
- You may not use the service to upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or security-compromising content.
Practice Exams, Answers, and Results
- Timed exams, practice mode, answer saving, scoring, rationales, and result history are provided as study tools.
- Once an exam attempt is submitted, graded, abandoned, or otherwise locked, answers may no longer be editable.
- We may correct, update, retire, replace, or re-score content if we identify errors, outdated material, security concerns, or quality issues.
- You are responsible for confirming official exam rules, eligibility requirements, schedules, and policies with the relevant exam sponsor or licensing authority.
Purchases, Refunds, and Third Parties
- Books, bundles, or other products may be sold directly by vellumpoint or through third-party retailers, distributors, or payment providers.
- If a third party handles a purchase, delivery, payment, refund, tax, or order issue, that third party's terms and policies may apply.
- Unless a separate written policy states otherwise, digital portal activation and access-code redemption may be treated as used once successfully activated.
Intellectual Property
- vellumpoint and its licensors own the service, branding, software, questions, explanations, answer keys, layouts, graphics, study materials, and related intellectual property.
- Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your permitted study purposes.
- No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.
Service Changes and Availability
- We may add, remove, update, suspend, or discontinue features, books, exams, questions, explanations, access methods, or support channels.
- We aim to provide reliable access, but the service may be interrupted by maintenance, updates, outages, provider issues, security events, or circumstances outside our control.
Disclaimers
- The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, and accuracy beyond what cannot be disclaimed under applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, vellumpoint will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, exam outcomes, professional consequences, or business interruption.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability will be limited to the amount you paid directly to vellumpoint for the affected service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
- You may stop using the service at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the platform, infringed intellectual property, misused access codes, or attempted to compromise exam or answer-key security.
Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the site, portal, or email.
- Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
